Halloween Regatta Race Info 10/28



Friday October 27th: TRAILER LOADING DAY

All high school / competitive 8th grade athletes are EXPECTED to attend practice on Friday October 27th to load all the team equipment onto the team trailer.

Halloween Regatta

Date: Saturday October 28th

Location: Tampa By-Pass Canal at Harney Park.

Venue: Harney Park: 7117 N US Highway 301 Tampa, FL 33610

Parking: King High School: 6815 N 56th St, Tampa, FL 33610



** NO spectators will be allowed to park in Harney Park except to drop-off athletes and other car riders.

Spectators: ALL spectators should plan to park at King High School: 6815 N 56th St, Tampa, FL 33610. Shuttle buses will begin running by 5:15 am and continue for the entire day. Spectators will be asked for a $5 donation to the Boys Scouts. Carpooling effectively will help everyone!

Arrival Time:

All High School / competitive 8th grade athletes will need to arrive at the race site by 6:00am to unload and prepare all equipment for racing.

All Rookie Middle School Athletes will need to arrive by 11:00am.

**New parents & athletes please look for the Team Tampa Flags and Hospitality Trailer when you arrive to locate our team tent and team trailer.

Food: Light breakfast items, Lunch, drinks, and snacks will be provided for all athletes at the team tent.



Departure time: TBA

Reminder all High school & competitive 8th grade athletes are EXPECTED to stay the entire Regatta day unless they have given one weeks’ notice of early departure needs to their coach.

All Rookie athletes are EXPECTED to stay after their race to eat lunch and prepare their equipment for the travel back. All Rookie athletes will be dismissed together by their coaches before they leave the regatta.

Once we have a finalized schedule it will be emailed out with the event your athlete will be in.



Volunteer & Food Donation Opportunity: Parents we are looking for volunteers & food donations for Saturday. Please view the link below to sign up. Thank you in advance for volunteering!

Parents, please note that food donations should be turned into the boathouse office by Thursday October 26th.

Race Day Ready Items:

  • Rookie Middle School Athletes: team t-shirt and athletic shorts

  • Freshmen/8th Grade Competitive: Team tanks & black spandex bottoms

  • Varsity: Team Unisuits

  • Sunscreen

  • Hat

  • Sunglasses

  • reusable water bottle

  • coxswains & bow seat for sculling boats please wear a watch

  • rain gear and long layers in case of rain or colder weather

  • spare change of clothes

  • something to keep you busy in between races



Parents:
