MIDDLE SCHOOL ROWING

Middle School Novice

Age: Rising 5th–8th Grade
Experience Required: No experience necessary
This program is for middle school athletes who are new to rowing or still developing the basic skills needed before moving into the returning middle school group.

Middle School Returning

Age: Rising 6th–8th Grade
Experience Required: At least 1 semester of rowing, or completion of 2 Novice Camp Sessions
This program is for middle school athletes who already have rowing experience and are ready for a returning-athlete practice environment.

8th Grade Competitive

Eighth-grade students who are ready to train with the high school team are welcome to register for this program.
To participate in on-the-water practice, 8th-grade athletes must arrive by 4:45 PM. Athletes arriving after 4:45 PM will begin practice with land-based training and will join on-the-water activities only after completing at least the first half of practice on land.

Returning Athlete Race Fees:

Tuition covers all coaching and regular practices. Away races have a separate $25 event fee to cover race registration, trailer transportation, and event logistics. Families register only for the races they plan to attend.
